I'm a long time banker having worked in banks since the age of 17. I took a break when I turned 50 and went back to school. I graduated right when the economy took a turn for the worst and after a year of library work found myself unemployed. I was lucky that my previous bank employer wanted me back. So here I am again, a long time banker. Change is hard.

And it’s back for a little bit today (the blue sky)…have to get out there and mow before it begins to rain again. Waiting for the grass to dry.

I’ve looked at clouds from both sides now. From up and down, and still somehow. It’s cloud illusions I recall. I really don’t know clouds at all. ………..

Storm fronts provide some of the best contrasts. Lovely. 🙂

Sometimes they are so dramatic you can hardly believe they are real. This one was just happening overhead when I took Katie out and I thought …”CONTRAST!”

Lovely contrast indeed. We could use some more rain, so send a storm front this way, please.

We don’t need any more right now, so I’ll send the one that’s headed this way today on up there.

It was pretty, and the rain fell and then it blew away and the sun came back out.

Yes! We’ve gone the opposite way today, from storm to blue sky. For the time being.

It’s a contrast no matter which way…but I like coming out of it to a blue sky myself.

Yep I have seen a lot of storm fronts moving in lately. How fast the weather can change from calm skies to mean and wicked. Your pic still looks beautiful.
Thanks for being a friend

It’s been a crazy year that’s for sure…first bone chilling cold and tons of snow, then a cold wet spring and now it’s nearly 100 and still only June.

Very cool!
I remember driving down the garden state parkway one dayi n the pouring rain, and then, like we came out of a car wash, it stopped and was sunny. Yuu could see the line on the pavement where it went from soaking wet to bone dry. It was the strangest thing ever.

That would be weird Sara, I’ve never seen it that abrupt. Did see a fantastic shelf cloud several years ago when we were driving across the prairie. Lots of sky to see it advancing. That might have produced such definite lines of rain.

I love looking at clouds. Storm clouds or otherwise. Unless I’m in a plane, then storm clouds…not so much.

Funny that you posted this – yesterday I waited until the radar said the rain and storms had moved through before taking Petey on his walk. Everything looked clear (on the radar), but we got rained on pretty badly, even running at one point because I had my phone and the rain was really coming down. About 5 seconds before we got back to the driveway, the rain stopped. I turned around, and out of the dark clouds, blue sky emerged. Amusing that we experienced similar circumstances, just kind of turned around.
Stay safe as the severe weather moves through in the next day or so!

When you get tired of those beautiful blue skies, please send them south. We’ve had sooo much grayness of late that we’ve all but forgotten what a pretty day looks like (and poor Dallas wants to get back to his long walkies!)
