I'm a long time banker having worked in banks since the age of 17. I took a break when I turned 50 and went back to school. I graduated right when the economy took a turn for the worst and after a year of library work found myself unemployed. I was lucky that my previous bank employer wanted me back. So here I am again, a long time banker. Change is hard.

What a beautiful scene! I like the wobbly look of the barn. Very Wabi-Sabi. 🙂

The barn caught my eye for sure. Then the fact the mountains were behind it…had to stop.

Love this one — the contrast between the barn and those mountains is inspiring!

It really was beautiful. Right where I took this shot is a commuter lot. I told my husband…bet all those people going to and from work don’t even notice this.

Me too. I saw it out of the corner of my eye when we were going north toward Lake Placid. Was late and both of us were tired, still I debated asking husband driver to go back but I didn’t. I just hoped when we headed south again the next day we’d take the same road. Turns out there aren’t that many roads. But still the next morning I thought we were on a different route, and wasn’t looking for the barn. When I saw it again I yelled “BARN!” and the driver/husband obliged by pulling over. I get one “BARN!” a day on road trips. Otherwise we’d never get anywhere on most of our trips together.
