I'm a long time banker having worked in banks since the age of 17. I took a break when I turned 50 and went back to school. I graduated right when the economy took a turn for the worst and after a year of library work found myself unemployed. I was lucky that my previous bank employer wanted me back. So here I am again, a long time banker. Change is hard.

And we’ve just had a downpour complete with thunder and over 1/2 inch rain in about 30 minutes…so I doubt it’s still out there. Glad I captured it this afternoon.

Yes it was. It caught my attention. A little pink petal hanging on in November in Michigan.

I think so too. There were only two blossoms left yesterday, and today there was still a whole one, and this little guy. I took pictures of both, but I liked the single petal standing up to November. Brave little guy got brought down by a torrential rainfall about an hour later.

Maybe. I know anemone. Don’t know if it’s Japanese though.

Aw, so pretty … yet somehow lonely-looking. I imagine it’s eager to join its fellows (or maybe not!)

About an hour later it did join it’s family. I was sad.
