Change Is Hard

My drive home – a study in green (plus a few other colors)

I stopped at a few places on the way home. What would have been a five hour drive turned into nine. And I got rained on. A lot. Still, it was so much fun.

I have lots of other things to show you, but they weren’t necessarily dominated by green…so they didn’t fit here. I suppose that will mean a post with random photos coming soon.

On the other hand, Katie-girl has much to say and you know how hard it is to silence a princess.

I'm a long time banker having worked in banks since the age of 17. I took a break when I turned 50 and went back to school. I graduated right when the economy took a turn for the worst and after a year of library work found myself unemployed. I was lucky that my previous bank employer wanted me back. So here I am again, a long time banker. Change is hard.

  1. Green is my favorite color, so these photos (especially the big one of the tree-lined road) are a feast for the eye. And now a word (or more!) from the princess!

  2. I love the lush greens of spring. Beautiful photos!

    • Me too. The green is almost overwhelming at the moment, we’ve had so much rain. Up north is even more spring-like and green. I’m having the best time, started spring in AL and FL in Feb, then had it here, and now a few days of extended spring in the north!

  3. You drove by the yak farm — close to my home. 🙂

    • Usually the yaks aren’t out when I happen by…but they were on Sunday. If I’d known you were so close I’d have at least waved to you as I went by! I DID wave to you as I drove by the bookstore on my way out of town…

  5. Everything is greener when it is raining and after the rain. I did not realize that you used a Canon camera too. Canon cameras are my all time favorite cameras. What is your favorite lens?

    • I don’t have a lot of lens, just one, 18-270 mm. Sometimes I wish for something else, but this one seems to get me most of what I want.

      • I wish I could say that lol. I use to buy a lot of lenses. I have sold quite a few of them there were more but I still have 6 or so but they all have a purpose so I hold on to them lol. Keep an eye on the pawn shops some good deals can be found there on lenses.
