I’m not much of a fisherman, but from what I can tell from observation, they seem to know how to live life quietly and serenely. Maybe a good lesson for someone who can’t quit “doing” all the time!

There’s all kinds of fishing, none of which I do. But I agree, watching people that fish it does seem that they know how to enjoy themselves in a quiet sort of way.

My folks took us kids fishing when we were little. I always took a stack of books with me, so yes, fishing can be very relaxing, ha!

A stack of books on a boat? I never did that, but I can see it working if you have a corner of the boat to yourself.

No no no — they spread a big blanket underneath a tree, and we settled in while they fished!! And they usually fished from the bank, not a boat. It was a pretty good setup!

Well, that DOES make a whole lot more sense….though I was sort of envious of the book reading while in a fishing boat image.
