I'm a long time banker having worked in banks since the age of 17. I took a break when I turned 50 and went back to school. I graduated right when the economy took a turn for the worst and after a year of library work found myself unemployed. I was lucky that my previous bank employer wanted me back. So here I am again, a long time banker. Change is hard.

I’m still figuring out this night star photography thing…but it’s getting there. This was along the boardwalk in Manistique MI, looking out over Lake Michigan about 10:30 at night.

Amazing. It’s easy to be lost in the vastness of such an image. Beautiful, Dawn.

Thanks Otto. I’m still learning how to do this night and star thing. I have much to learn still, particularly about processing after. And I need a different lens…but it is still fun to see what I can get.

That is disgusting. Not only do you have less light pollution than I do in the middle of nooooowhere Alabama, but my camera can’t even begin to take a decent shot of the moon, let alone the stars.
OK, not so disgusting, freaking awesome!

Well, we had to go up to the UP to do this. This was on the boardwalk near Masitique, on the north shore of Lake Michigan.
