Hotel carpet recap

A family friend travels often for work and began posting what she called her “ugly hotel carpet” pictures a few years ago. I caught the bug and have posted on Facebook my version of ugly hotel carpets during some of my travels. This past two weeks several people mentioned that the carpet images might make a great collage.

So let’s see what WordPress will produce if I provide the images.

I'm a long time banker having worked in banks since the age of 17. I took a break when I turned 50 and went back to school. I graduated right when the economy took a turn for the worst and after a year of library work found myself unemployed. I was lucky that my previous bank employer wanted me back. So here I am again, a long time banker. Change is hard.

  1. Ha! Don’t you wonder sometimes if these hotels wait for Remnants R Us to have a sale?! 😀

  2. This is brilliant. I swear I’ve walked on some of those dreadful carpets. I think airport carpeting is ugly, but it’s not as intense as hotel carpeting that is right there in your face.

    • You are right, airport carpet is also, well, interesting. If you’ve stayed at a Holiday Inn Express you’ve seen this carpet. We stayed in 3 of them, in 2 countries, and all of them had the same carpet.

  4. I always thought the Netherland Hotel in Nati City had the nicest carpet. I loved eating lunch there.

  5. A kaleidoscope of carpets. Somehow though, in hotels, I don’t always find them ugly but would I want them in my home….probably not.
