They warned us that we’d get a frost. I didn’t want to believe it, and almost didn’t pick all the flowers in bloom out in the garden. After all, it was barely October, I should have a few more weeks to enjoy the garden…right? Well, it’s a good thing I cut everything:

…because this morning we woke up to this:

The frost was thick on the grass and the air was thick with fog. Katie was curious and uncertain about the frosty grass, tentatively stepping on it, sniffing. Then she got excited about trying to eat all the frost she could. Silly girl.
I already miss summer.

Brrrrrrrr! We haven’t had frost yet. And I am refusing to turn my heat on, even though the thermometer in the house reads 59 degrees. I just know summer will be back in a few days 🙂

We had frost the night before last too – and we turned the heat on in the morning. It was 60 in the house and cold!

Usually after a lot of hot summer weather I’m happy for fall to arrive, but this summer was so mild I am sorry to see it go!

It happened here too! Much to my dismay. 😦 The computer is saying it’s 29 degrees here this morning, although I’m never sure if that’s accurate or not. All I know is that it’s too cold for me.

We will not see that. Dad said he always enjoyed that first frost and the tingle in the air. Then of course our Dad is a bit nutty, but we love him just the same.

Frost! Ugh! We have been having it here in the mornings, too. I have to scrape it off my van. Bleh.
