I'm a long time banker having worked in banks since the age of 17. I took a break when I turned 50 and went back to school. I graduated right when the economy took a turn for the worst and after a year of library work found myself unemployed. I was lucky that my previous bank employer wanted me back. So here I am again, a long time banker. Change is hard.

Beautiful! We had frost on our front yard this morning–nothing near as pretty as this. Has Penny experienced snow yet?

This was taken with my cell, during an early morning outing with Penny to explore. She loves snow. LOVES snow. She saw a bit last February when she was only a couple months old. She’s loving this snow, as almost a 1 year old. I’m sure she will have a lot to say about it.

Looking forward to Penny’s post–with photos of her playing in it, I am sure!

How pretty is that? We never did get the promised snow. They’re talking weekend now so we shall see 🙂

We got a couple inches, but it’s soooooo cold that it hasn’t melted. When it first fell everything was so beautiful, it was a wet snow and coated all the little branches. Since then the wind has cleared the trees but we still have enough snow on the ground for a certain puppy to prance in. They say we will be in the 40s by the end of the week. She’s going to be sad. I will be glad.

So far, we had two itty-bitty snowfalls barely worth mentioning. One stayed about 36 hours, the other even less. It was bitterly cold yesterday with a wind that went right to the bones. We will only see the low forties tomorrow and Friday, after that? 32. Until then? mid-twenties.
I swear, as I get older, I become a bigger wimp regarding the cold…

Oh, wow, stunningly beautiful … but I’m so glad all we got was rain. I hate shoveling, and I’m pretty sure little Monk is going to require me to dig him tunnels in the back yard so he can find grass to potty on. Sigh.
