I'm a long time banker having worked in banks since the age of 17. I took a break when I turned 50 and went back to school. I graduated right when the economy took a turn for the worst and after a year of library work found myself unemployed. I was lucky that my previous bank employer wanted me back. So here I am again, a long time banker. Change is hard.

He stayed and played in the water for a long time. I had just, minutes before, filled it up with fresh water. He must have been watching me fill it up!
It’s always fun to watch a bird in a bath, or a puddle – sheer joy. My canaries would not any of the bathtubs I got them, preferring to hop in their water dish.
Bruce’s aunt had parakeets. One in particular I remember loved his bath, but only if she held his little yellow bathtub. Then he’d flop around until all the water had been splashed out of the tub and onto her. He just loved that game.
That’s funny – parakeets do have a lot of personality. Our parakeet had a bath that hung on his open cage door and he’d pause, then plop into it, like someone jumping into a pool. He’d have a great time of it.

I didn’t think he saw me, I was hiding behind a wall with just the camera lens pointed through a window at him. But apparently he did. 🙂

These are so great, Dawn! I have two birdbaths and enjoy the birds’ antics in the bath. They ALL act the same way then pull the face after 🙂
