I spent 7 hours today staining the wood part of our new decks. Seven hours today, three hours yesterday and I still have a lot to do. I am soooooo tired. I hope I can finish it tomorrow before it starts to rain. Actually I hope I get it done before winter snow flies!
I'm a long time banker having worked in banks since the age of 17. I took a break when I turned 50 and went back to school. I graduated right when the economy took a turn for the worst and after a year of library work found myself unemployed. I was lucky that my previous bank employer wanted me back. So here I am again, a long time banker. Change is hard.

Staining sounds like such a fun project … for the first 10 minutes. Hope the rain didn’t spoil things for you yesterday!

Well, we read the directions on the can and it said not to stain if rain is predicted in the next 24 hours. So I took yesterday and today off from the project. Will see about tomorrow afternoon…or maybe Thursday to start up again.
