Change Is Hard

…but change is certain.

Not spring here yet

So I’m reading about temps in the 80’s, looking at pictures of flowers in bloom, thinking maybe I saw migrating birds back for the summer, really believing that spring is here.   Relaxing my guard so to speak. Yesterday it was cold and windy, but Katie still wanted to spend some time outside in her kennel where she could keep watch on her road.

But today?  Well, see for yourself:

We are no longer going to predict spring here.  Every year we are fooled into thinking winter is over, and then winter slaps us up the side of the head again.  So we are going to stay inside and PLAY!

Hope you have warmer weather!

I'm a long time banker having worked in banks since the age of 17. I took a break when I turned 50 and went back to school. I graduated right when the economy took a turn for the worst and after a year of library work found myself unemployed. I was lucky that my previous bank employer wanted me back. So here I am again, a long time banker. Change is hard.

  1. I know how you feel. ( sorta) Its been very nice all week and now its going down hill. I think we hit our high for the day of 64 at 5am and its going down from there. It will be 30 degrees cooler this weekend than earlier in the week. Im sure we will be warmer than most but still hard to take after its been so warm. Diana

  2. Ughhh!! I am so ready for spring, and for summer. We are supposed to be getting some warmer temps this weekend, 45ish… which is going to feel nice. Maybe even up to 50!

  4. We don’t have snow, but it is cold. At least the ground was frozen – so no mud to deal with today. I know Spring on the calendar never really means spring – but it means it is close!

  5. Sigh….we know what is like….it didn’t get above 18 degrees today….but the awful thing was the sun was shining brightly, there was a clear blue sky and it looked so nice outside….but it wasn’t.

  6. The weather is so fickle this time of year – 79 one day, 25 the next! Looks like this weekend we get back to some more normal spring-ish weather.

Great photos of Katie in this post and in the next one! She is so beautiful!
