I'm a long time banker having worked in banks since the age of 17. I took a break when I turned 50 and went back to school. I graduated right when the economy took a turn for the worst and after a year of library work found myself unemployed. I was lucky that my previous bank employer wanted me back. So here I am again, a long time banker. Change is hard.

Oh, that is so terribly sad – for the bird and for you to have to discover it. It’s so odd to have it’s wings spread like that.

Was the bird trying to make snow angels?

Oh no…. so sad. Did it hit the window? Cardinals are so beautiful in the snow but not like that. Poor thing.

I think he hit the window. Never saw one land spread out like this. He is so beautiful I had to take his picture with his sad little closed eyes. and the light snow on top of him. I think he died instantly. I hope. Poor little bird.

We don’t see cardinals here much, if ever. They are beautiful. It’s sad to see him all laid out in the snow like that. I hope he died quickly.

Oh my goodness this is a beautiful photo of the cardinal in the snow–the red, red, color against the white. I took a photograph of a beautiful yellow bird that died last summer. It’s so sad when they hit the window and die. I always say a little prayer that they will survive. Sometimes they do…but as often they don’t…
