I'm a long time banker having worked in banks since the age of 17. I took a break when I turned 50 and went back to school. I graduated right when the economy took a turn for the worst and after a year of library work found myself unemployed. I was lucky that my previous bank employer wanted me back. So here I am again, a long time banker. Change is hard.

  6. Just came in the mail today!! It’s beautiful. And just in time for fall. I absolutely love the colors. The pattern makes it nice and thick. Can’t wait to snuggle Genghis up to me. Thank you so much Dawn, it’s just perfect.

  7. Did you make that? My Babci taught me how to crochet blankets. It has been years since I’ve made one. I wonder if I still remember the stitch? Hers were always nicer than mine though. Going to pick out yarn was a big excursion for Babci. I’m the only grandchild that learned how to make them. How lucky am I?

  8. A hand-crocheted afghan! I presume this was a gift you made for Erin. What a wonderful gift! My mother used to crochet blankets, bedspreads, doilies, all of that. I used to knit, mostly sweaters, once a dress. Back in the day.

The banner photo – even better! Love it – keep up the Katie photos!

  9. I’m glad it arrived Erin! It’s based on your Tuscan inspired baby room. I had fun making it because it wasn’t the typical blue/pink/green/yellow dainty baby blanket, but a heavy-duty manly blanket for your little boy. 🙂
