Change Is Hard

…but change is certain.

Can I help?

We put the tree up last night.  Though I grew up with fresh cut trees and I miss the smell, I don’t miss the mess.  Ours comes out of the basement in a big bag.

While husband and I were setting up the tree Katie thought she’d help. Silly dog.

Later in the evening we found her curled up in the bag taking a nap.  It’s hard work to be a helper dog.

I'm a long time banker having worked in banks since the age of 17. I took a break when I turned 50 and went back to school. I graduated right when the economy took a turn for the worst and after a year of library work found myself unemployed. I was lucky that my previous bank employer wanted me back. So here I am again, a long time banker. Change is hard.

  1. Tell Katie to be careful that she doesn’t get packed up and put away in the basement while she’s napping in that bag. LOL

  2. I guess dog help is a lot of work from the dog’s point of view. Hey, Katie, you are so cute!

  4. We’re all getting our trees up! And those of you with pets have a little extra help… Is your tree all decorated, too? We have our tree up, but it doesn’t have a stitch on it yet.
