Mother’s Day has rolled around again, our 7th one without her. In years past I’ve been pretty successful at ignoring the day, averting my eyes when going by the card section at the grocery store, turning the channel when an advertisement comes on the television.
This year it doesn’t seem to be such a painful day, and I can feel happy for other people and other mothers. Sure I still miss my own, but I can appreciate the day for what it is, a celebration of women everywhere. And I recognize how very lucky we were to have the Mom we did for as long as we did.
So Happy Mother’s Day to you all of you! I hope it’s all sunshine and happy moments – enjoy your day!

Your mom playing an accordian on a hammock…..love it. It speaks volumes for her personality, and I never even knew her.

Blessings to you and your mama. It must be so hard to miss your mom so much, especially on Mother’s Day. You were so young when she died… 😦 I am glad it’s easier this year.

It’s never easy to lose someone beloved and there is always a hole in our heart, however, the hole in the heart can be filled with fond memories and love. I’m so glad you find this year is easier and I’m sure your mama is watching over you all the time. The picture of her is really sweet!
Have a great day too, Dawn!!!

Happy Mutter’s Day to you too. Dog Dad was remembering his mutter this week too. It has been our fourth one without her.

Im glad this year was easier. My husband said yesterday he couldnt believe his mom has been gone for over 30 years. She died of a sudden heart attack when he was a freshman in college. Very sad. I try not to make a big deal over mothers day because Im sure he would like to wish his mom a happy mothers day too.

Thanks everyone. Essex and Deacon give your Dog Dad an extra cuddle, cause it’s so hard to be without a Mom…you too Diana…give that husband an extra hug! 🙂
