I'm a long time banker having worked in banks since the age of 17. I took a break when I turned 50 and went back to school. I graduated right when the economy took a turn for the worst and after a year of library work found myself unemployed. I was lucky that my previous bank employer wanted me back. So here I am again, a long time banker. Change is hard.

Tired from taking such good care of Aunt V. How is she doing today?

Ricky, she’s still in hospital. Asked yesterday to talk to doctor alone, apparently told the doctor she doesn’t want to come home with us. We don’t know why. Trying very hard not to feel frustrated, sad or exhausted.

So sweet, Katie!
I’m so sorry that your aunt is still in the hospital. I think the reason she doesn’t want to go home with you because she thinks she might bring you all a lot of troubles and she doesn’t want to be a burden to you. I think most elderly people might think or feel that way when they aren’t feeling well.
Take it easy. May be Aunt V will change her mind later.

That’s how I feel today. Sorry about your Anut. Maybe she just wants to go home. Or she is worried she is a burden.
