Change Is Hard

…but change is certain.

June photo scavenger hunt

Karma at her blog has challenged us to another photo scavenger hunt.  These are so much fun, though I’ve only done one so far.  But June’s list looks kind of hard to me:

June’s Photo Hunt:

a colorful bird of your choice

a grad – of any sort

a dad – of any sort

something purple

a butterfly

a funny face

BONUS: a cow, bull, heifer, calf or ox.  Extra bonus points for my favorite, the belted galloway.

Well.  I don’t have a Dad around here anymore…and I don’t have any graduates that I know…and I don’t know where I’m going to find a cow of any sort much less a belted galloway…and I might be able to find the colorful bird…maybe…but it might not be the best photograph…and I haven’t seen a butterfly yet this spring.

So…any help, ideas, suggestions would be appreciated!

And you too can join the scavenger hunt….just put together your photographic finds, then let Karma know where you’ve posted them.  It’s an adventure and we all need a little more adventure in our lives.

Right?

I'm a long time banker having worked in banks since the age of 17. I took a break when I turned 50 and went back to school. I graduated right when the economy took a turn for the worst and after a year of library work found myself unemployed. I was lucky that my previous bank employer wanted me back. So here I am again, a long time banker. Change is hard.

  1. Come visit me! I know Dads, grads and cows 🙂

I’m sure you could find a high school graduation to crash. Surely there will be dads there as well.

  2. It is a dad of any sort so it wouldn’t have to be a human dad or a dad of a human! Therefore, your husband would meet the requirement as Katie’s dad! And you are both graduates! There must be cardinals in your yard. Not the most inventive ideas but you said any ideas are welcome! LOL!

  3. What Ricky said. And then there are magazines with pictures in them. . . . I’ve printed the list, just haven’t gotten to starting on it yet.

  5. Dawn, please feel free to be very creative with these photos! I’ve had folks use different meanings of words, take pictures of toys, etc. The dad of any sort does not have to be human. The graduating does not have to be from school – it could be graduating to a new ability, for example. Photos from your archives are also acceptable to complete the hunt – as long as you have some new shots too. Have fun! 🙂

  6. It sounds like this will have to be a very creative assignment for you, Dawn. The dad could be a Catholic Priest (ha ha, just thought of that!) or even an old picture of your father. A graduate…hmmm….that one would take a little thinking. However, if you state your intent to the Universe to see a colorful bird and a butterfly, I KNOW the Universe will comply. (Hey, Universe, you WILL comply for Dawn, won’t you?) smile…

  7. If you and Katie came out here for a visit we could give you more cow photo opps than you’d ever need in a lifetime. LOL Can’t wait to see your photos, it sounds like you got some great suggestions from the other comments.
