Lots of things get Katie going. Sometimes it’s just a bump somewhere in the house. A belt buckle clattering will set her off. Have to sneeze? Try to get outside, away from crazy girl before you do. Opening the tinfoil drawer? Don’t even think about it.
But what make the Katie-girl the most ballistic? Take a look.
And they’re everywhere!
I'm a long time banker having worked in banks since the age of 17. I took a break when I turned 50 and went back to school. I graduated right when the economy took a turn for the worst and after a year of library work found myself unemployed. I was lucky that my previous bank employer wanted me back. So here I am again, a long time banker. Change is hard.

LOL – rabbits are absolutely everywhere here too!! But Ricky doesn’t care that much – he will give a little chase and then walk away. I expect Katie’s insane reaction is much more normal!

We have three bunnies who have adopted our back yard (and my garden). The girls act much like your dog does when they see them hopping around. At least Katie doesn’t demand that you set out carrots daily for the little buggers.

Bumps in the house, a crunch in the gravel outside – those things set our girls into “protect” mode immediately. A rabbit outside, or a squirrel, and Shasta goes into a frenzy. Bailey cares only that Shasta is excited, and will join her in the chase. Just because. Aren’t they the silliest kids ever, these girls of ours?

I wish my terrier would NOTICE a rabbit without me pointing it out to her…and even then she is like, “Ok rabbit..Rascal see’s the rabbit…what is your point.” We once had two deer in our front yard…we live in the city of Chicago. Rascal looked out the window and since it was not a dog (obviously) felt no need to get excited. I don’ think her breeding line included a lot of “go to ground.” Lazy Terrier.

We saw a little cottontail on our walk the other morning. We also saw a skunk. I couldn’t have been more happy that I had Raven and Dare with me that day, instead of Zoe and Twist.

Maybe there is a rabbit living inside all of our vacuum cleaners!

This must be something collies and shelties have in common – strange noises making them crazy – and of course the bunnies! A mama bunny seems to have left us a pair of babes under the kids’ old playhouse while we were away on vacation, and Teddy just can’t stay away. We’ve put up some blockades in hopes of keeping him from terrifying the poor things to death!
