Katie’s Uncle Jeff just left for the airport. Her house is settling back into a normal routine. At least it will when her Dad gets back from dropping Uncle Jeff off.
“It was fun to have company, Mom.” says Katie. “But now you can get back to your real job which is all about me!”

I'm a long time banker having worked in banks since the age of 17. I took a break when I turned 50 and went back to school. I graduated right when the economy took a turn for the worst and after a year of library work found myself unemployed. I was lucky that my previous bank employer wanted me back. So here I am again, a long time banker. Change is hard.

Seems like if you have a Sheltie then your real job really IS all about them! 🙂

Spoken like a true sheltie – it’s all about “ME” and she so deserves that 🙂

My Jack Russell would agree with your Sheltie. Company is fine except the part about sharing mom’s attention.

Summer can be crazy, between traveling and guests and gardening and exploring. Isn’t it interesting how much we often like our routines, how comforting they are?
