I have nothing to talk about. I’m at loose ends. I’m doing laundry, cooking for the week, vacuuming. Nothing you’d want to read about. Husband is off working on his brother’s garage, so I have the house to myself. Perhaps I will go sit on the deck and hope the carpet cleans itself.
Katie is voting for an adventure, but unless she learns how to make beds or dust she’s not going to earn one. We’ll see. I remember what that used to mean when my Mom said it to me.
We’ll see.

Katie has the best face.
I don’t know about you, but the weather is too perfect here to waste it inside. I’ve decided dusting can wait until January! Although I am too lazy to go on any adventures.

I thought your hubby retired??? Why isn’t he doing some of this so you and the Katie girl can go off on adventures?

Oh, the dreaded “We’ll see”! It was the worst answer my mother could give to a question, whether we wanted to go to the fair, get a puppy, or just have popsicles. If she said “No,” we could argue; if she said “Yes,” we were happy. But “We’ll see” was just a way of sidestepping the question, with the threat that if we didn’t stop asking, the “We’ll see” would transmute into “No.” Poor Katie! I sympathize! Then again, Sarah isn’t helping me tonight with the laundry or with wrapping the green tomatoes in newspaper, so I guess I’d better get at those little jobs. Sigh!

Hmmm, Dad never uses that phrase. We hope that you managed to go on at least a little adventure. Maybe across the street to the pond to see the turtles. Weather has been hot here but the herricanes have stayed away. The results of Collie Effect, we don’t know for sure, but if it means an extra biscut we’ll take credit.

Some days it’s just not enough that they make you happy and love you unconditionally (which I have been known to doubt) someday’s you want them to step up and be useful! I understand completely.
Hope you tied up some of your loose ends and headed out to play!

Let the carpet go. Look at your 101 in 1001 list, and pick something. Isn’t that what the list is for?

You know what they say, on your death bed you probably wont be saying, “I wish I cleaned my house more”. But you might be wishing you had seen more of the world or done things that made you happy. Go out and see the world. Forget the cleaning. LOL

That dust isn’t going anywhere, and getting rid of it is not as important as an adventure. Life should not be all about work!
