I'm a long time banker having worked in banks since the age of 17. I took a break when I turned 50 and went back to school. I graduated right when the economy took a turn for the worst and after a year of library work found myself unemployed. I was lucky that my previous bank employer wanted me back. So here I am again, a long time banker. Change is hard.

I love spring so much, all the colors gently showing up after a long grey winter.

It’s the only tulip we have in the whole yard. The deer, years ago, ate all the rest.

Stunning! And you’ve got some of those pretty blue muscari, too — you see, a brilliant online friend (YOU!!) told me what they are, and now I’m seeing them more often. What a beautiful gallery this is.

I planted just a few of the bulbs for the blue muscari and now I have a lot. I don’t mind. I love their texture and color. And they come back year after year.

Kind of anyway. It snowed on and off all day yesterday. Record cold last night. I’m hoping spring gives the cold the boot and we’re done with it soon.

We had snow too, but nothing like what you got! We just had it in the air, came down quite heavy in the morning for a few minutes but never accumulated on anything. I covered up all the perennials that have grown quite large last night, hoping that’s the last hard frost for the season.
