I'm a long time banker having worked in banks since the age of 17. I took a break when I turned 50 and went back to school. I graduated right when the economy took a turn for the worst and after a year of library work found myself unemployed. I was lucky that my previous bank employer wanted me back. So here I am again, a long time banker. Change is hard.

Yes, I know! I was hoping it would be a LOT darker out there, but you go with what you’ve got, right?

I know, it’s a small village over there, with, apparently, a lot of light!

O my word, when I enlarge that … I want to walk right out there into the light, and into the stars, oh my.

It’s good to look at it bigger, so you see the stars. Facebook and WordPress both process the photos darker than the way they are processed. I should overexpose my night photos when I’m posting them here. But it’s still cool.

Yes, they process my photos darker too. Why is that? I right click on your photos and then choose “Open in new tab” and they open very nicely in a larger size. I hope everyone knows this. Your photos are more than worth the extra time to see them full size.

Stunning! It really makes you want to be right there, right now.
I just started reading a very lighthearted, romance novel that takes place in Michigan on the lake. I keep picturing your photos as I read it 😊

It was a nice night, even though I was sitting on the pier which had frost and snow on it…it was pretty quiet out there, and I am always happy when I’m under stars. Plus I felt safe because husband was up in the car.

The stars are fantastic here in the desert, but even if I’m not in bed I don’t have either the equipment or the knowledge or the drive to go out and try to shoot them. I’m happy seeing your shots!

No need to shoot them, but spend some time out under them just absorbing the light. Peaceful.

I take it, this is the shot you were hoping for. And goodness, but it’s lovely! The composition just draws you in — nothing extraneous, nothing lacking. Well done!
