I'm a long time banker having worked in banks since the age of 17. I took a break when I turned 50 and went back to school. I graduated right when the economy took a turn for the worst and after a year of library work found myself unemployed. I was lucky that my previous bank employer wanted me back. So here I am again, a long time banker. Change is hard.

  1. Is there anything prettier than a beautiful red cardinal in the snow? Lovely shots, Dawn.

  2. I haven’t seen my cardinals very often this winter. I love seeing them in the snow, they really brighten up a grey day.

  3. These are so pretty, Dawn. That last photo–I picture him saying, “Open the door, lady! I’m coming in.”

    • Yeterday it quietly snowed all day. Probably 5 or 6 inches by the time I went to bed. More overnight. But all that snow meant the birds were frantic at the feeder. It was SOOOOO beautiful, had at least 8 pairs of cardinals all bustling around, looking for food and the puffy snow was everywhere. I couldn’t stop looking outside. It was amazing. Today looks like more of the same.

  7. I love these … especially that last one. Those little blurred wings are amazing! And it looks like you got some snow, too.

    • You know, I always thought they were all over, was surprised to hear they are not. At least you’ll get to see them here frequently, because I love trying to get images of them! They don’t sit still very long so it’s pretty hard to do.
