I'm a long time banker having worked in banks since the age of 17. I took a break when I turned 50 and went back to school. I graduated right when the economy took a turn for the worst and after a year of library work found myself unemployed. I was lucky that my previous bank employer wanted me back. So here I am again, a long time banker. Change is hard.

I guess so, it’s part of a big ring, with the gate all the way around. But you’re right, they wouldn’t need it along the wall, so not sure why it’s there.

Uh-oh, I sense a case of the zoomies!! Monk slipped right out of his harness the other day while zooming, and I tell you, my heart was pounding with fear.

That’s so scary. I hate it when she gets zoomies outside. I’ve never had her slip out of a harness, but she has figured out how to slip out of her collar.

Such a frightening experience! I grabbed a huge hunk of Monk’s fur and held on for dear life. He probably thought I’d lost my mind, but I wasn’t taking any chances on him slipping away from me.

No, I was just trying to get her to look at the mirror and she wouldn’t. Of course. The first time she saw herself in the mirror she play bowed and then bounced around trying to get the reflection to play with her and I was trying to get that, but of course she stopped.

I know. I feel sad that she’s not the little puppy anymore. We shopped for diapers last night, because she could go into heat any time now. 😦 I felt like a mom buying pads for her daughter. I told Bruce we needed to have ‘the talk’ with her now.

The first night when she saw herself she did jump on it and bark and play bow…but not after that. I can’t remember if the ring gates were across the mirror that first night, if not it would have looked more real to her. She still play bows and barks at our fireplace insert where she sees herself reflected. That poor puppy in the fireplace never gets to come out and play.
