Wordless Wednesday, Happy 70th Anniversary Mom and Dad!

I'm a long time banker having worked in banks since the age of 17. I took a break when I turned 50 and went back to school. I graduated right when the economy took a turn for the worst and after a year of library work found myself unemployed. I was lucky that my previous bank employer wanted me back. So here I am again, a long time banker. Change is hard.

  2. Happy anniversary to them! October 4th is an auspicious date I see. This was my former MIL’s birthday who passed a year ago in late October. I shared an “anniversary” post about Aero this morning. I used your sweet comment as a quote because it was just so perfect, Dawn. I hope you don’t mind.

  3. I’ve seen so many photos of your dear mom and dad on your blog that I almost feel like I know them! What sweet expressions they have — and how I love the picture of them with all you kids! I expect they’re having a most happy anniversary in Heaven.

    • You know every time I write about them I wish I had a new photo. But unless some friends of theirs send me photos I have all I’ll ever have. I guess this is one reason I take so many photos…trying to memorize every moment.

      • The photos bring them alive again, and I never tire of seeing them. I imagine you don’t either. I know I’m fortunate at still having my mom here, but I miss Daddy all the time. I like to think Dallas is with him.

  7. They look just as happy in the last photo as the first. Both have a twinkle in their eyes.

    Beautiful couple and family.

    • They were, in general, very happy. They had the usual stresses of 4 kids and job changes and moves, but overall they were always there for each other and once all the kids had flown I think they were very content together.
