Dirt roads and pathways are everywhere around here. So when I saw Cee’s challenge I knew I’d find something fresh, some place you haven’t been with us before.
This should do, mom!It’s dirt and it’s a path…right?
Friday Penny and I spent all day exploring. We started out at a new park I’ve renamed Penny’s Park. I’m sure she’ll have a lot to say about it and the other places we visited when she’s recovered from all that exploring!
I'm a long time banker having worked in banks since the age of 17. I took a break when I turned 50 and went back to school. I graduated right when the economy took a turn for the worst and after a year of library work found myself unemployed. I was lucky that my previous bank employer wanted me back. So here I am again, a long time banker. Change is hard.

Given she’s pretty sure she owns EVERYTHING…she felt right at home in this new park. It’s access is new, behind the library. Not too many people there just yet.
Yes, this is an extension of an existing park, and Penny is young enough we should be able to explore all of it eventually. Lots of hills and woods and meadows and little ponds. She’s gonna love it.
I think so. We were there on a windy day, and she was a bit unnerved by the blowing leaves…but I think eventually she’s going to be really happy to go visit her park.
She’s had several days of exploring (we had workers at the house) so now she has way to much to show you all! She has decided she’ll think about it tomorrow. Or after a nap today. Or sometime. She doesn’t know it but she’s going to the vet for her rabies shot this afternoon.
She says thank you! I found these comments in the spam folder. Though I didn’t see them there when I was poking around for them yesterday. I marked them ‘not spam’ so you should be able to comment now.

Yep, it’s Penny’s Park alright! The way she’s sitting suggests she owns the place!
She’s so happy!

She’s been to so many parks in the last few days I think she’s overwhelmed and doesn’t know where to start!

Ouch! I hope she gets the three-year version so she doesn’t have to get stuck every year!
