Penny here.
Just stopping in to tell you that mom has been sick. She got that covid thing and she’s been mostly in bed for a week.

Being the loyal canine I am I’ve mostly been in bed all week too.

Even when mom had a fever and kept pushing me away cause she said I was too hot I pressed up against her cause I know what she really needed in order to feel better is more of me.

Cause she couldn’t be out and about we haven’t had any adventures lately, but the pictures here are from my last set of adventures.

Mom says we’ll get back on the road again in a few days. She says she’s mostly still tired.

Me? I not tired at all! I’m ready to go as soon as mom says the word.

Until then, I remain mom’s heating pad. Whether she wants one or not.

Signing off now,
your warm and fuzzy girl Penny.

Sorry your Mum has been sick. I think I’m still NOVID. I did have quite a reaction to the Shingles vaccine, chills and a bad headache. Hope your mu is feeling better.

Good idea, Aunt Beth! I can practice my therapy dog skills! Mom says when I snuggle up to her I’m not supposed to sit on her head. What do you think? Should I try to finesse my technique some?

Dear Nurse Penny–you are the best! I hope your mom feels better soon. Maybe tell her you don’t need to go to any park–the backyard is just fine. I bet she smiles if you say that.

Penny, you might want to remind your mom that it isn’t just your heat that you’re giving her when you snuggle, it’s your love. Hope all is good to go for your mom real soon.

That’s a very good point, Miss Ann. Mom’s feeling better, but I still sit very close to her all night. Sometimes I lay right on top of her if I want to make sure she’s safe. She doesn’t mind so much. Mostly.

Yep, it’s been a battle, but she’s feeling better. I still sleep right next to her to make sure there’s no relapse. No rest for the dog! Mom says in awhile she’ll feel good enough to take me on a walk in the woods. I can’t wait! They say next week we will have more beautiful weather! Mom says to tell you she hopes you are getting out to enjoy it too!

I’m trying to be patient, Ms. Pamela, but it’s hard. The good news is I am not a morning dog so I let mom sleep in most mornings. The bad news is once we’re up I want to PLAY!!!! :) Mom is feeling better, so I think by next week we’ll probably be back to adventuring. Say HI! to Sunny for me!

Mom says I have to come in soon though as I’m barking at everybody. I say, well of course I am, mom, that’s my job!

Aw, Penny, you make a lovely heating pad! If the stores knew how loyal and good you are, they’d sell out like hotcakes. Tell your mom I’m sorry she caught the COVID thing. Did she get vaccinated? I don’t know what that crud was that Domer brought home over Christmas (we never got tested), but it lasted way too long. Here’s hoping your mom is up and at ’em with you real soon!
