I'm a long time banker having worked in banks since the age of 17. I took a break when I turned 50 and went back to school. I graduated right when the economy took a turn for the worst and after a year of library work found myself unemployed. I was lucky that my previous bank employer wanted me back. So here I am again, a long time banker. Change is hard.

She is. She was sniffing and pulling me off the trail and I said, “No baby” thinking about ticks…and then I saw the log and I thought…”I wonder if she’d sit up there.” And all worries about ticks flew out of my head. She sat up there just fine and didn’t move until I lifted her down. She seemed quite proud of herself.

Hi Dawn! Wow! This is one of my favorite photos of Penny so far. I bet she required extra treats for her sit still while you brushed her furs. 😊

No dogs were brushed in the effort to get this shot. LOL Her fur just falls this way. I didn’t even realize her tail was in this position until I looked at the photos after we were home.

What a gorgeous girl … and sitting so perfectly still for her portrait in the woods. Even with all his puppy schooling, Monk can’t be trusted to do that without being leashed. Sigh.

Penny is beautiful, always, but that bluebird at the top of the screen caught my eye. Bluebirds must be migrating now. I saw one in the cherry orchard this morning.
