Wordless Wednesday – how many flickers?

I'm a long time banker having worked in banks since the age of 17. I took a break when I turned 50 and went back to school. I graduated right when the economy took a turn for the worst and after a year of library work found myself unemployed. I was lucky that my previous bank employer wanted me back. So here I am again, a long time banker. Change is hard.

    • Yes, when I took the picture it was of the prominent bird, and I took it only to ID the bird because with the light and distance I couldn’t tell what it was just by looking. When I looked at the image l saw the second bird. There were a bunch of them flying around and making a ruckus, I’d be surprised if there wasn’t another one or two hidden in there somewhere, but I only see the two.

  6. I’m guessing two as well; however, since I’m not totally sure of the ID on the bird at the right, I’ll accept that I might be wrong.

    • There were a bunch flying around and being very noisy. I couldn’t tell what they were, they were in shadows and then bright light. I snapped this just to ID the bird and thought there was only one bird in the shot..but it turns out (I think) there are 2.

  9. Two flickers for the price of one! Ours have migrated away for the season. Ours will be back in late November!
