This is the 20th Mother’s Day without my mom physically here on this earth. But I’m pretty sure she knows I’m sending a happy Mother’s Day wish up to her and all the other mothers that have moved on to the next adventure.
I don’t think there even has to be internet up there for her to see how much we love and miss her.
I'm a long time banker having worked in banks since the age of 17. I took a break when I turned 50 and went back to school. I graduated right when the economy took a turn for the worst and after a year of library work found myself unemployed. I was lucky that my previous bank employer wanted me back. So here I am again, a long time banker. Change is hard.
Dawn, you’re so fortunate to be able to keep your mom close — in your heart as well as via photos. Twenty years? Wow, that seems like such a long time. This is only my second Mother’s Day without my mom, but I know I’ll always miss her. Wouldn’t it be grand if they met one another up in Heaven?!?
Thank you. Yes, I think our folks spend a lot of time watching and encouraging us. Just like they did when they were down here. I guess you never really stop being a parent.
I talk to both my folks all the time. Probably more to my mom, cause she’s the one that would answer cooking and cleaning and general stuff questions when I was growing up. I talk to dad about all the political stuff, and safety stuff. They’re pretty good listeners.

I’d like to think they have met by now. There are so many great people up there, it must be kind of wonderful.
