I'm a long time banker having worked in banks since the age of 17. I took a break when I turned 50 and went back to school. I graduated right when the economy took a turn for the worst and after a year of library work found myself unemployed. I was lucky that my previous bank employer wanted me back. So here I am again, a long time banker. Change is hard.

  3. Penny looks lovely against all that green!! I wonder what she’s thinking. I’d never be brave enough to let Monk off leash in an area that huge — all that would be necessary for him to scamper off would be a squirrel. Or a cat!

    • I took her to a dog park. We were in a smaller section for ‘small’ dogs. No one else was in our section, but there were big dogs beyond the fence (hard to see the fence but it’s part of the poles you see. She got to run with the big dogs even though they were on the other side of the fence. She had a blast.

    • She does, doesn’t she. We were only there for a few minutes, I had picked her up from her breeder where she’d been for a week, and was taking her to a kennel where she will be for the rest of this week.

We had such a good time running free in that park, I promised to take her back some morning to do it again when we have more time.

  6. OH Penny – what a great place to run free! Hope you had a blast, and your mom got to soak up some sunshine while watching you romp around.

    • It’s a really big dog park, with large areas separated by fences so ‘little’ dogs can have their own place. I personally like the big dog section because it has hills and woods and trails, but Pen doesn’t like to be chased by big dogs she doesn’t know so it’s not fun for her over there. We were in the little dog section and there was no one else there but us. So she got to WATCH the big dogs and chase them on her side of the fence and she had a blast.
