It seems like it’s been a long time since I promised to show you the best images from my latest walk at Kensington.
Red tailed hawk in the morning light.
While I was walking it didn’t seem like I was taking many photos. But when I go back and look there are way too many ‘best’ images.
Who’s that up there?
So it will be hard to choose just a few. I so much wish you could all walk out there with me.
Enjoying breakfast.
Though I know from experience that I do better photography when I’m walking alone. No one really wants to keep waiting for me to catch up.
Hey! That’s my peanut!
I also don’t want to be those annoying people who talk so loudly while walking in the woods that they broadcast their arrival long before they’re visible.
Yes, I know I’m beautiful.
And I have never understood those people who are racewalking through the trees. I can’t imagine they see much at all.
I’ve been looking for lunch in the mud.
I have a hard enough time spotting wildlife when I’m moving along at my snail photographer pace.
Hey lady! I’m right above your head! Give me a treat and I won’t deposit anything on you!
Anyway, here’s a handful of images that I really enjoyed taking.
I went out to Kensington this morning. I haven’t been there to walk among the birds in a long time. I have loads of images to share with you. But this little sequence made me laugh.
I hope you enjoy it. too.
Incoming!Hey! Move over chickadee!Hold your horses, I’m getting my peanut!Geeze, I was here first!I’m out of here!Talk to the wing, chickadee!Yep, the patient bird gets the biggest peanut.
When I get some time I’ll look at what else I found and I’ll share the best of it with you. It was a wonderful day in the woods.
Dirt roads and pathways are everywhere around here. So when I saw Cee’s challenge I knew I’d find something fresh, some place you haven’t been with us before.
This should do, mom!It’s dirt and it’s a path…right?
Friday Penny and I spent all day exploring. We started out at a new park I’ve renamed Penny’s Park. I’m sure she’ll have a lot to say about it and the other places we visited when she’s recovered from all that exploring!
Mike, over at MLCreatons and I had a short comment thread talking about being photographers that are always on the lookout for that one tree standing alone out in a field. I have had similar discussions with other photographers, so it must be a thing.
Anyway, Friday I was out with Penny when we came across this tree.
Not in a field exactly, but a lone tree with a pretty nice reflection on an unusual sunny day.
Made me smile.
Go check out some of Mike’s images, guaranteed to make you smile too.
Karma, over at Karma When I Feel Like It, has challenged us to a couple of photo challenges. One of them she titled “Before and After.”
For this challenge I was looking for something that changes…where I could show the before…
Before her adventure.
…and the after….
And after.
I honestly thought she’d be a bigger mess. We walked through snow and mud and leaves and puddles. Maybe she’s a Teflon dog.
She says she wants to share more about her latest walk in the woods, but she’s busy napping. Maybe someday soon she’ll be motivated to finish her post.
