I'm a long time banker having worked in banks since the age of 17. I took a break when I turned 50 and went back to school. I graduated right when the economy took a turn for the worst and after a year of library work found myself unemployed. I was lucky that my previous bank employer wanted me back. So here I am again, a long time banker. Change is hard.

Ok, first I thought “that’s the life” and then I noticed the dilapidated chairs, the coat and hat, the lack of other people, the wind and then I thought “Hmm….maybe slightly crazy woman out on a deserted beach?” – LOL – just teasing you, of course! I am extremely jealous of your locale – even if it might be a tad chilly!

LOL! We were on a walk on the beach (husband is up to visit for a couple of days) and these chairs were sitting there. They’re worn smooth by the wind, almost feel like silk) So I sat and it was lovely. It was actually warm enough to have a lighter coat and no hat…but only just there sitting in the sun. Walking on the beach around the corner was cooler. But another beautiful day in paradise!

Don’t you look cozy there! Did it just turn freezing cold today down there? It plummeted from the 50’s down to about 20 here today! Brrrr…you wouldn’t want to sit out on the beach today.

Nice photo! Reminds me of a painting (?) I’ve seen of nice white painted empty beach chairs with ab each towel draped over them just looking out to see. This is sort of the winter version of that photo.

Kathy, LOL!!!! Today the wind is blowing 4 or 5 foot waves into the beach…and to top it off we drove into the UP and up to White Fish point and walked on that beach (for about 5 minutes!!!) where Lake Superior was pounding and the wind was driving and it felt like minus 30!!
Ellen…I like living in a painting!
