Change Is Hard

…but change is certain.

Most of us are home again

We made it home last night.  Really late.  We are very tired.

Katie, however, is still at camp, and they are closed today…so her Dad will go pick her up Monday morning while I’m at work.

I think we’ve all missed Katie…right?

So here’s a reminder of the princess herself.

“Can I come home now Mom?  Please?”

I'm a long time banker having worked in banks since the age of 17. I took a break when I turned 50 and went back to school. I graduated right when the economy took a turn for the worst and after a year of library work found myself unemployed. I was lucky that my previous bank employer wanted me back. So here I am again, a long time banker. Change is hard.

  2. So glad you made it home safely! But I would be going crazy without Katie. Hard to believe they don’t have even one hour of pick up time on Sundays!

  3. Well, it will be quiet day at your house. Get some rest, I’m sure Katie will be anxious to play.

  4. I hope you enjoyed your vacation as much as I did! I would hate that part of leaving the girls at camp or the boarding kennel. I’m hoping to find someone to stay at the house with them when we go to the coast the end of March.

  7. You have to work tomorrow? Bummer! It’s a national holiday, and, after sharing your excellent vacation with so many of us, you deserve an extra day off!

  9. We didn’t even realize that tomorrow is President’s Day when we scheduled our week off. Which wouldn’t have mattered anyway since my bank isn’t closed. Oh well. It was a lovely week. But it’s snowing here now. Have to get up early to get to work on time in the snow. Sigh.

  10. Pretty Girl!
Whenever possible I let people pick up their pups the minute they get back–if they want to–not all do–and of-course those pups are usually the ones I am counting the days until they return to their own homes 🙂 I love reuniting pup and owner–no matter how long they stay with me–months sometimes, or how much they love me…I can never replace their forever home and that is the best part of my job.
Glad you had such a nice trip.
