She’s six now, almost middle aged. But don’t tell her that…she’s still a puppy at heart.
Yesterday I didn’t feel right posting about her birthday given so many will never have another. But today she reminds me that three years ago I forgot her birthday entirely and she doesn’t want me to forget it again!
So here is her birthday photo…with a pretty pink toy she got from her boyfriend Reilly!
Happy birthday little one. You are a sweetie for sure.

Happy birthday Katie girl 🙂
It is hard to post about good things when others are having such a horrible time. It feels cheap to move on or to share about your wonderment, but I’m glad you’ve found a way to keep us moving forward gracefully. Perhaps I’ll even post those beautiful sunset pictures I’ve got stashed…

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO KATIE! (She is almost a year older than Sarah.) One of the greatest things about dogs (and we know the number of great things about dogs is infinite) is that they always remain puppies at heart, even into old age.
I know how you feel about having happy news on a day that is so sad for our country. Me, too. But we have had sadness in our lives at other times when others were happy. Strange feeling, but part of consciousness in our species.

Happy Birthday Katie! I think the best cure for horrible things happening in this world is to continue to celebrate wonderful things.
