I'm a long time banker having worked in banks since the age of 17. I took a break when I turned 50 and went back to school. I graduated right when the economy took a turn for the worst and after a year of library work found myself unemployed. I was lucky that my previous bank employer wanted me back. So here I am again, a long time banker. Change is hard.

Shot from cannons like Quaker Puffed Rice? Sometimes it would feel good to be able to leave wordless comments, but how?

Very cool shots! Looks like someone catapulted him …or would it be “bird”apulted? 😉

It is very Superman-ish they way he flew off. Perhaps he’s going to someone’s 4th of July parade?

He sings in the mornings as the sun comes up and in the evenings in the highest branch he can find and he is often illuminated perfectly. Just happened to catch him leaving. He had been out there moments before and when I went in to get the camera he left…then he came back, and as I shot the first picture he got scared and left again and I got lucky to catch him fleeing. I’m sure he’ll be back up there tonight.

We’ve got one that perches high in a tree and sings his little heart out — he’s next to impossible to photograph, though. You did a great job capturing yours. I like the way he’s shooting out of the second picture!
