I'm a long time banker having worked in banks since the age of 17. I took a break when I turned 50 and went back to school. I graduated right when the economy took a turn for the worst and after a year of library work found myself unemployed. I was lucky that my previous bank employer wanted me back. So here I am again, a long time banker. Change is hard.

I saw squirrels racing around with something in their mouths and then saw a tree they were raiding – I wondered what it was….now I know – crab apples!

Really? Official? Somehow I’d missed that part but haven’t missed all the changes in our natural world — along with ripe fruits, migrating birds, fall flowers, and leaves beginning to turn, there are the much shorter days. That’s the hard part of the seasonal change for me.

The sunflower and the morning glory? Those were from a garden I saw when I was out looking for photographs ‘up north.’ They ARE pretty aren’t they!
