I'm a long time banker having worked in banks since the age of 17. I took a break when I turned 50 and went back to school. I graduated right when the economy took a turn for the worst and after a year of library work found myself unemployed. I was lucky that my previous bank employer wanted me back. So here I am again, a long time banker. Change is hard.

It looks like Katie wasn’t wordless and ended up in time out as a result.

I interpreted it that she WANTED to go outside. I’m guessing I was wrong.

I think your mom misunderstood you. I know you were saying “I’m hungry, please feed me.” Not, “I wanna go outside.”
You need to hire a translator.

You are probably correct. But in order for her to hire a translator she’s going to demand an increase in her allowance.

Dallas “sings” like that when the Domer plays his trumpet. It’s really cute! Was Katie singing while you were practicing, Dawn? Gee, if so, Dallas says banishing her to a kennel was overkill, ha!

No, when I’m practicing she’s pretty quiet. Poor thing. She was demanding attention, so she got some. Not what she wanted though.

That Katie! So expressive and so pretty!
Today was barkless Friday at our house, with our quiet Sarah. Her water dish was empty, but her way of remind us is to lie down, chin on the floor, gazing mournfully at the dish.

Oh Katie would tell you off in no uncertain terms. Sarah is so much more dignified.

Miss Sadie and the Cowboy are divided. Miss Sadie is a stoic. The Cowboy is (1) all spaniel all the time and (2) smitten with Katie. (Me too, actually, but I support her Mama all the way. 🙂 )

Katie takes awhile to warm up and then she’d probably be smitten back.

The Cowboy would be so astonished he would probably write a lonesome country and western song while riding off into the sunset on Earl.
