I'm a long time banker having worked in banks since the age of 17. I took a break when I turned 50 and went back to school. I graduated right when the economy took a turn for the worst and after a year of library work found myself unemployed. I was lucky that my previous bank employer wanted me back. So here I am again, a long time banker. Change is hard.

These must be down south — no way your part of the country is showing such beautiful signs this early, right?!!

Yes we are still in AL. Even here it’s warmer than normal. Flowers are about 2 weeks early.

In the southern hemisphere is is edging closer to winter but still very warm. Cape Town is in the midst of a severe drought with dam levels at 31.6% as of the 6th. In 2014 it was at 79% at this time of the year. As winter is our rainy season we are craving winter. There is a possibility that the water can run out.

That sounds very scary! We have had drought here in the United States the past few years…but this year we are getting much more snow and rain (though still not as much as normal) so we are hoping we are moving out of the drought period. I hope you guys get some rain soon! That’s scary to think the water might run out!

I’m sorry. I hope it gets better soon. Though I suppose it will take a lot of time and a lot of rain.
