Change Is Hard

…but change is certain.

First snow!

I wish I could be as enthusiastic as Katie about the first snow of the season.

Really mama? It’s snow. I should be running, not sitting here getting my picture taken again!

I know that people in the South had much more snow than we’ve received. I guess I should be thankful that we don’t have more.

That’s better mama!

But I also know this is only the beginning of the long winter in Michigan.

Let’s do that again mama!

Katie thinks it’s about time there is snow to play in.

I think it’s time for a treat!

Of course she’s not going to shovel the driveway.

Silly girl.

This is my woods mama!

I'm a long time banker having worked in banks since the age of 17. I took a break when I turned 50 and went back to school. I graduated right when the economy took a turn for the worst and after a year of library work found myself unemployed. I was lucky that my previous bank employer wanted me back. So here I am again, a long time banker. Change is hard.

  2. So pretty! I’m with Katie…..and lucky me, it is just starting to snow here right now. Chewy is scratching at the door. Time to go catch some on our tongues.

    Have fun Katie!

    • It’s good there are people in the world who like snow. Especially if they own shelties, it works out so well like that. Katie would like to come and live with you and the boys please..where she could run around outside as often as she liked. She’d probably hang out with Oreo more than Chewy though, she’s a little bit of a sedate lady lately.

  4. We had snow up here in the Florida Panhandle! It was on the rooftops of houses and cars, but it counts! It’s gone now….

  5. That’s what my husband says about me when I say I love the snow (that I won’t be shoveling the driveway…lol!). He doesn’t shovel it either, by the way. Our driveway is a 1/4 mile long, and sand and gravel. Around here, you wait for the snow to melt (which usually happens within a day or two).
Katie looks gorgeous as usual. 🙂

  6. We only received a smidge of snow down here in Russell county, but it was so beautiful.
Tell Katie that we accept her shhhallenge: we will see her to the top of Smith mountain.
