It’s unlikely

…that he will successfully get any of the hummingbird food out of this feeder.

But he can try.

Well darn it all!

I'm a long time banker having worked in banks since the age of 17. I took a break when I turned 50 and went back to school. I graduated right when the economy took a turn for the worst and after a year of library work found myself unemployed. I was lucky that my previous bank employer wanted me back. So here I am again, a long time banker. Change is hard.

    • He spent a lot of time hanging upside down, getting SOMETHING off the bottom of the feeder. Maybe I spilled some and the bottom was sticky. Maybe there were insects down there. Who knows.

  6. Aw, poor little thing. I’m sure you’ve got another feeder out, right? One he can reach??

    • Oh yes, there’s a huge oriole feeder just feet away that he’s been chowing down at for several days. But then the oranges were all eaten up and he decided to go exploring for something good. There was syrup in his feeder just waiting for him.

  8. Third photo had me chuckling and grinning. One wonders how often we humans look like that. But still, even if I look like that, I won’t stop trying for all the tea in China. 🙂

  9. I wish it were unlikely that Alabama squirrels could suck my hummer feeder empty, but they do!!! I’ll have the only diabetic squirrels around.
