I'm a long time banker having worked in banks since the age of 17. I took a break when I turned 50 and went back to school. I graduated right when the economy took a turn for the worst and after a year of library work found myself unemployed. I was lucky that my previous bank employer wanted me back. So here I am again, a long time banker. Change is hard.

I know…very little white on her face, some on the tips of her ears in the past couple of years….some along her muzzle, but really not much more than has always been there. Sometimes I see her age in the way she stares out into space, her eyes get smaller and more sunken and then I see her as an older lady. We’ve asked the vet about those times, wondering if she’s in pain. He says it’s like dog meditating, and since it doesn’t last long we shouldn’t worry.

Dallas seems to be sleeping more … and deeper. He’s also a bit stiffer in his joints. I’m glad his face isn’t turning white though!

He turned 12 in last November. If memory serves me correctly, she’s a few weeks younger!
