Squirrel lets sleeping dog lie
Author: dawnkinster
I'm a long time banker having worked in banks since the age of 17. I took a break when I turned 50 and went back to school. I graduated right when the economy took a turn for the worst and after a year of library work found myself unemployed. I was lucky that my previous bank employer wanted me back. So here I am again, a long time banker. Change is hard.

Dallas still chases squirrels, but only when he’s not in a deep snoozle! He, too, loves to nap outside — the fresh air and sunshine do them good.

Katie LOVE LOVE LOVES to be outside. She’s been out there this week anytime there was a bit of sunshine. Yesterday she didn’t even bark to come in when it started to rain. I brought her in anyway. Silly girl.

Peeking in on her friend to make sure she is OK. Such a cute photo, Dawn.

I thought so too. Then the squirrel must have chattered because Katie woke UP AND leaped to her feet, though she didn’t bark, and the squirrel scurried away and up a tree. Brave little thing. Katie was in a huff for quite awhile. To think that a squirrel was sneaking up on her!

I never saw it around here before either. But Katie, at 12, is sleeping pretty deep these days. She’d be mortified if she knew I took the picture and mad at me to know I published it!
