We’re still in Norway but our trip is coming to an end soon. In the meantime, here’s a view from the top of a mountain…
…overlooking the fjord where we’ve been staying.
That’s Farsund you see in the distance. It’s a cute little city with about 9,000 people, shops, a marina and a great waterfront.
This week’s photo challenge was perfectly timed , given I’ve been enjoying some pretty extraordinary views while here. I’ll post more soon.
Stay tuned.

You sure have been seeing some great views, a lot just from your window!

I know…it was hard to decide which view to include in this post…but this was the most encompassing and showed the most of the area we’ve been in. The view from the house is mesmerizing and if I lived here I would sit on the deck or at the living room window and just watch all day every day.

This was near the top of the mountain just across the water from where we’re staying.

It sure is. Sometimes I think it might be a lot like Oregon, it’s been damp and cold and the woods is covered with moss, as are the large boulders. Is that like Oregon?

The northwestern part of the state is a lot like that. On the eastern side of the Cascades (where I live) is more like high desert. We have more winter and less rain.

Oh, my, this is lovely! It looks so cool and refreshing, too — probably because we’re baking in the mid-80s with humidity almost the same. Ugh!

We’ve heard it’s pretty toasty back home…and even warmer near the east coast. It’s been cold and damp here, but that’s perfect for tromping up and down mountains and climbing light houses.
