Change Is Hard

…but change is certain.

Nancy’s photo challenge: View

We’re still in Norway but our trip is coming to an end soon. In the meantime, here’s a view from the top of a mountain…

…overlooking the fjord where we’ve been staying.

That’s Farsund you see in the distance. It’s a cute little city with about 9,000 people, shops, a marina and a great waterfront.

This week’s photo challenge was perfectly timed , given I’ve been enjoying some pretty extraordinary views while here. I’ll post more soon.

Stay tuned.

Our host’s view of us.

I'm a long time banker having worked in banks since the age of 17. I took a break when I turned 50 and went back to school. I graduated right when the economy took a turn for the worst and after a year of library work found myself unemployed. I was lucky that my previous bank employer wanted me back. So here I am again, a long time banker. Change is hard.

  1. You sure have been seeing some great views, a lot just from your window!

    • I know…it was hard to decide which view to include in this post…but this was the most encompassing and showed the most of the area we’ve been in. The view from the house is mesmerizing and if I lived here I would sit on the deck or at the living room window and just watch all day every day.

  6. Oh, my, this is lovely! It looks so cool and refreshing, too — probably because we’re baking in the mid-80s with humidity almost the same. Ugh!

    • We’ve heard it’s pretty toasty back home…and even warmer near the east coast. It’s been cold and damp here, but that’s perfect for tromping up and down mountains and climbing light houses.
