I'm a long time banker having worked in banks since the age of 17. I took a break when I turned 50 and went back to school. I graduated right when the economy took a turn for the worst and after a year of library work found myself unemployed. I was lucky that my previous bank employer wanted me back. So here I am again, a long time banker. Change is hard.

If I let my imagination run a little wild, I see a turtle. Head facing to the right, big round shell and little feet/tail on the left. This is wonderful, Dawn.

Well now I see a turtle too! This was a photo I took deliberately, channeling Robin over on her blog, Breezes at Dawn. She often has dark photos lit with beautiful images and I’ve always wanted to do something similar. So when I was in the dark woods last week and a bit of sun touched this tree…well…I just couldn’t help myself.

I didn’t see the turtle (in my defense, my room is dark). I will go back and take a second look.

Well, it IS a stretch. You might see something else. Or nothing at all. That’s the best part about a photo like this.

When I first saw this, I thought it was a bird in flight, something you’d pixelated so it would appear dappled. Pretty regardless!

No, it was just naturally dappled. I thought it was pretty too.
