I'm a long time banker having worked in banks since the age of 17. I took a break when I turned 50 and went back to school. I graduated right when the economy took a turn for the worst and after a year of library work found myself unemployed. I was lucky that my previous bank employer wanted me back. So here I am again, a long time banker. Change is hard.

    • I always love this time of year when things just begin to bud out..there is still so much hope for the summer that is coming. Before the weeds take hold in the garden and the groundhog eats the green beans.

  2. Always a thrill to see the “darling buds” of…April. They are welcome anytime.

    • Yes, and it still is. Usually at this time of year it snows and is gone and that’s the end of it…but I still have snow on the deck..mostly wet snow, but snow, and it’s in the 20s and 30s every morning. I unplugged the heated birdbaths a couple weeks ago and now the water is frozen every morning. When I see them trying to get a drink I go out and put fresh water on top of the ice.

    • It was very pretty. Since then we’ve gotten plenty more snow, but mostly it doesn’t stay longer than a few hours. Still, it’s been snowing every day for awhile now and I’d like to move on into full blown spring. Any time now would be good.

  6. Poor little thing. Almost makes you want to go out with a hair dryer, doesn’t it?!
