I'm a long time banker having worked in banks since the age of 17. I took a break when I turned 50 and went back to school. I graduated right when the economy took a turn for the worst and after a year of library work found myself unemployed. I was lucky that my previous bank employer wanted me back. So here I am again, a long time banker. Change is hard.

Me too. Right after this shot he dove for a fish then flew away. Embarrassed, I think that he missed while on camera.

Incredible how you caught the slashing of each drop. Very cool.

Had the ISO up high in case he flew, so got the raindrops too, accidently on purpose. He did fly, but I wasn’t ready and didn’t get it.

A beauty of a photo, especially with the rain on the water.

Love how that heron showed up to welcome you back! And I also love how the raindrops look like tiny stars — stunning capture!

Yes, I don’t see him (or her?) very much here, but it’s always a treat when I do. Also had a kingfisher sitting on the peak of the boat house, but little stinker flies away whenever I go outside to get his picture.

Aren’t they? I didn’t know they were there till I looked at the images on a bigger screen. I knew I was getting rained on but didn’t know how beautiful it was in the image!

I loved that too. I grinned when I saw it on my laptop. Had the ISO up high so the shutter speed was high, in case he flew, got the raindrops instead which was very very nice.
