Change Is Hard

…but change is certain.

Smiling

Things are beginning to get back to normal here. At least as far as Katie is concerned.

If this is all the snow around here, it must be spring…right mama?

She and I went for a walk at her favorite park this afternoon. She hadn’t been there in more than a month.

Are you going to carry me across this big, cold puddle?

We had sunshine, but it was still chilly out. Just the way she likes it.

I guess maybe it’s not quite spring after all.

I’m pretty sure, when she wasn’t busy sniffing out the best smells, she was smiling.

I sure love my park!

So was I.

Can’t beat a walk in my park!

I'm a long time banker having worked in banks since the age of 17. I took a break when I turned 50 and went back to school. I graduated right when the economy took a turn for the worst and after a year of library work found myself unemployed. I was lucky that my previous bank employer wanted me back. So here I am again, a long time banker. Change is hard.

  4. I bet you both were smiling! Looks nice, despite the large puddles, and I assume icy-snow (walking with Fiyero, there were some tricky spots with the snow turning to pure ice). i hope your weekend is going well!

    • Yes, the back side of the park which has more shade was entirely covered in snow that had thawed and refrozen and was a lumpy, slippery mess to walk on. I mostly just dropped her leash and picked my way across the worst of it, but it was pretty bad.
