I'm a long time banker having worked in banks since the age of 17. I took a break when I turned 50 and went back to school. I graduated right when the economy took a turn for the worst and after a year of library work found myself unemployed. I was lucky that my previous bank employer wanted me back. So here I am again, a long time banker. Change is hard.

  5. That’s an oriole! I haven’t seen one of those at my feeder at home or the one by the lake. Seeing a flurry of activity at the feeder at home and it’s fun to watch early in the morning and in the evening. Looks like your feeder is providing a similar show! Summer is here. Peace.

    • Yep, I think we have 3 or 4 young orioles this summer. Mostly they eat on their own, but if dad shows up they all beg. Silly dad, he tries to feed them all but then he gets disgusted and flies away.

  6. Is the black bird feeding the others? Or getting a good chewing out? Great snap, Dawn.

  8. Feeding time! Your feeder is like a popular diner in a small town — everybody shows up and seems to know everybody else. And I find it lots of fun sharing the view from your deck!
